ALL shots on this page were taken by Seal Samuel. They are NOT full size shots and are here to show more or less how the lens draws. I thank him for allowing me to share them with you! Thanks for stopping by!

The Leica Noctilux 0.95. Yep, a fantasy lens to most, but in reality, there is no other lens like this in the world today. The old version, The Leica Noctilux F1 was a very dreamy lens. I owned it and loved it. Yea, its heavier than the average Leica M lens, but the images you could coax from it were unlike any other lens around.
The Noctilux F1 drew in a way that made some images appear as paintings. With its swirly out of focus backgrounds and special look, you would think Leica installed a paint brush inside the lens.
Today, Leica is getting ready to ship out the latest and greatest. The worlds fastest production lens. You thought F1 was fast? This new version will rock your world with its crazy fast 0.95 aperture.
Let me set this up for you guys...
As I sit there, dreaming of this new Noctilux, I get an e-mail from none other than SEAL. Not only is he an accomplished music artist with a career spanning almost 20 years (his new CD “SOUL” is brilliant), but he is also a talented photographer who is lucky enough to own some of the best glass in the world, including the new Noctilux as well as the Leica 24 1.4 Summilux.
He had some really great things to say about the new Noct and after a few e-mail chats back and forth, Seal was kind enough to send me some samples from his new Noct and let me tell you, they got me drooling. I started thinking that maybe if I dig around in my backyard, I will find some buried treasure and with any luck, I can come up with the $10k for this lens! Nope, not gonna work! Maybe one day, but not today!
I wanted to write this blog post to thank Seal for sending me these quick test shots and allowing me to share these cool samples with you from the new Noctilux F0.95. I also thank Stefan at Leica for allowing me to show them as well.
Not only am I a fan of Seals music (me and the wife are attending his show in Chicago on April 1st), but I am now a fan of his photography and I envy him for his glass collection!
He sent me some very cool shots today and I will soon have a short interview on this site with Seal where we will talk about his photography, lens collection, and share some of his photos.
He took these strictly as test shots to show how this lens draws. Taken with a Leica M8.2, the stats of each shot are under the image. So here are the shots:
So thanks to Seal, I now lust after both the 50 Noct F0.95 AND the 24 Summilux even more! Thanks Seal!
BTW, his new “SOUL” CD is brilliant!
